RISE proudly participated in a three-day training on Human Rights Defenders, held from 12–14 April 2026 in Mogadishu and conducted by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia.

This important training provided a valuable platform to deepen our understanding of human rights principles and the critical role of Human Rights Defenders. It significantly enhanced our organizational capacity to effectively promote, protect, and advocate for human rights within the communities we serve.

Through interactive sessions and expert-led discussions, RISE staff gained practical knowledge and tools to support human rights initiatives, respond to challenges, and strengthen community-based protection mechanisms.

RISE remains firmly committed to advancing human rights, empowering communities, and supporting Human Rights Defenders at all levels. We will continue to build on this knowledge to foster a more just, inclusive, and rights-based society.
