On 25th September 2025, RISE took part in a one-day Human Rights Training organized by the United Nations Transition Mission in Somalia (UNTMIS) at the UN Compound in Baidoa. The training brought together representatives from various Minority Rights Organizations (MROs) to strengthen their understanding of human rights frameworks and enhance their advocacy efforts.

This important initiative aimed to build the capacity of MROs in advancing inclusive rights, equality, and protection for marginalized communities in Somalia. The session included practical discussions on legal frameworks, rights-based programming, and strategies for influencing policy and decision-making processes.

RISE remains committed to championing human rights and promoting the inclusion of minority voices in Somalia’s peacebuilding and development agenda.
