From 15th to 17th January 2026, RISE participated in a three-day capacity-building training on the Intersection between Mental Health and Human Rights, organized by UNTMIS and conducted at the UNTMIS Compound in Baidoa.
The training brought together civil society organizations and key stakeholders to strengthen understanding of the critical link between mental health and human rights. Participants explored international human rights standards, the rights of persons with psychosocial disabilities, and practical approaches to promoting dignity, inclusion, and non-discrimination in mental health programming and services.
Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and case studies, RISE strengthened its technical capacity to advocate for rights-based, community-centered mental health interventions.
RISE remains committed to promoting the wellbeing, protection, and human rights of vulnerable communities and will continue to actively engage in initiatives that advance inclusive and accountable service delivery across Somalia.
