On 19 June, RISE participated in the United Nations observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict in New York, reaffirming our commitment to supporting survivors and advancing efforts to end conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV).
This annual observance provides an important opportunity to recognize the resilience of survivors, highlight the work of organizations and individuals at the forefront of prevention and response efforts, and address the challenges that continue to hinder access to justice, protection, and support.
This year’s theme, “Safeguarding Futures and Empowering Caregivers,” shines a spotlight on the critical role caregivers, service providers, advocates, and communities play in supporting survivors on their journey toward healing, recovery, and empowerment.
At RISE, we stand in solidarity with survivors and honor the dedication of caregivers who work tirelessly to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity in the aftermath of violence.
Together, we must strengthen survivor-centered services, promote accountability, and ensure that every survivor has access to the support they need to rebuild their lives.
💙 Join us in raising awareness, supporting survivors, and advocating for a future free from conflict-related sexual violence.
