From November 5–6, 2025, Resilience Integration and Sustainable Empowerment (RISE) successfully conducted a Capacity Building Training for Minority Representative Organizations (MROs) in Baidoa, South West State of Somalia.
The training focused on the rights of marginalized and minority groups, with a strong emphasis on promoting inclusivity, non-discrimination, and equitable access to protection and humanitarian assistance. Participants were engaged in sessions covering legal frameworks, community participation, and strategies to advocate for the rights and needs of minority populations in both humanitarian and governance structures.
This initiative aligns with RISE’s commitment to empowering underserved communities and fostering inclusive development across Somalia. The training also served to strengthen collaboration between civil society actors and duty bearers in promoting equal opportunities and dignity for all.
