Resilience Integration and Sustainable Empowerment (RISE) proudly participated in the four-day Women Leadership Training organized by the Somali NGO Consortium (SNC) in Baidoa. The training brought together Women-Led Organizations (WLOs) from across Southwest State to strengthen leadership, protection, and advocacy capacities within Somalia’s humanitarian and development sectors.

Purpose and Focus:
The training aimed to empower women leaders with knowledge and tools to enhance their role in protection, gender equality, localization, and inclusive decision-making. It also served as a collaborative space for sharing best practices and developing strategies for more effective representation of women and girls in programming.

Key Objectives Included:

• Strengthening leadership and management capacity among WLOs
• Documenting inclusive targeting strategies for vulnerable women and girls
• Supporting the localization agenda through women-led advocacy
• Developing peer-support mechanisms and action plans
• Aligning advocacy approaches to increase donor engagement with WLOs RISE’s Commitment:
  As a participant, RISE actively contributed to discussions and reaffirmed its commitment to gender equity, women’s empowerment, and inclusive leadership. The organization looks forward to continued collaboration with SNC and fellow WLOs to advance impactful, women-centered programming across Somalia.
